Objectives

We have set certain goals in the fields of Furniture Restoration, Painting Restoration, Textile, and Clothing Design. For the restoration disciplines, these entail the ethics of the restorer's approach and the rationale for necessary restoration interventions, aimed at enhancing environmental protection during the restoration process. In the Clothing field, our focus lies on recycling used textiles or ecologically producing materials for garment production, fostering waste-free production practices. The aim of our project implementation is to achieve innovation in garment design and restoration work, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility. We aspire to embed these values in our work and contribute to the overall enhancement of education at the Higher Vocational School. Another goal is to effectively manage challenging situations in international projects, overcoming language barriers and stepping out of comfort zones, fostering personal development, embracing innovative practices in international companies, seeking new experience and fostering collaboration in a multicultural environment.

Background

Our project engages with the broader context of modern trends and challenges in our industry, namely Fashion Design and Restoration. We focus on innovation in the world of fashion and art with an emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility. Our goal is to implement these values into apparel design and restoration interventions. International mobility is also a key part of our long-term strategy to enhance the overall level of education at the Higher Vocational School. The school management aims to establish strong cooperation with foreign institutions to provide a stable offering of internships or work opportunities abroad. We are succeeding in implementing this cooperation within the framework of long-term projects, such as with the Goering Institute.
