Objectives

By implementing the knowledge and skills gained during job shadowing, we aimed to achieve the following project goals: •increase competencies to support the digitalization of teaching •create a more dynamic environment in classroom groups within the framework of inclusion and ensure respect for diversity and equality principles, •gain new and inspiring approaches and methodologies for working with students who are at risk of dropping out, •improve the educational process by developing and acquiring competencies in working with students with learning disabilities and students from different cultures. By realizing professional internships, we enabled students to grow professionally. They gained new professional skills in using new technologies in their field, improved their everyday communication in English as well as technical terminology, which led to their better employability and competitiveness in the job market. In addition, they gained healthy self-confidence, strengthened assertiveness, gained a lot of new knowledge about the culture in Portugal. It was beautiful to observe how scared teenagers, in three weeks became confident young people aware of their value and able to perform assigned tasks well in a foreign environment.
