Objectives

Our aim was for the participants to gain experience by working in companies in different language and cultural environments, to test their knowledge and skills in practice and to try to establish contact with companies for the purpose of subsequent cooperation. Participants spent their stay in companies that are either directly focused on applied arts or need the work of a creative artist for their activities. Our next goal was to test their knowledge and skills in practice and then pass on their experience to their classmates and teachers in the context of teaching vocational subjects, who were then able to implement the information into their teaching. The practical application of the participants' knowledge and skills also served as feedback for the school - especially for the adaptation of the curriculum content of vocational subjects and school equipment

Background

The Secondary School of Arts and Crafts brings together disciplines which, although different in their technological nature, are all directed towards the sphere of applied arts. What is important to us is the interconnection of craft practice and art. For this purpose, the school is equipped with high-quality studios and workshops with all the necessary technology and a number of specialized classrooms and workplaces. The link between teaching and practice is realised in the three-week practice course, which is an integral part of the curriculum. This internship corresponds to the mobility activities we have implemented.
