The objectives of the project were based on the analysis of the school environment (SWOT) and in particular the needs of the students and include the need to link knowledge and skills from several areas (language, vocational subjects, practice) into a comprehensive whole, understanding the broader context of the studied field, gaining information about new approaches and trends and developing knowledge and skills in engineering and electrical engineering. Another objective was clearly to promote an increase in the interest of girls in studying at our school, where we have two places allocated for a minimum of 2 girls in each mobility.
Our school is attended by 428 pupils (16 of whom are girls), who are provided with a complete secondary vocational education ending with the matriculation examination in two fields of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Our pupils come from all backgrounds. The aim of our teaching is to prepare pupils for both university studies and entry into practical life. During the second and third year, pupils complete a fortnight's work experience in a company in České Budějovice and its surroundings. By obtaining funding from the Erasmus+ programme, the possibility for our pupils to complete internships in foreign companies has been extended, and their completion is recognised in the education system at our school as a full-fledged internship as in localcompanies. With this project we wanted to continue the implementation of foreign mobilities, which is very popular with our pupils. By providing financial support, we were able to support pupils from economically disadvantaged families who would have enjoyed a foreign internship could not afford. To enable teachers to gain new experience in shadowing. The project also meets the aims and needs of the school.
