The project aimed to achieve multiple objectives. Firstly, it sought to include socially and locally excluded students in a foreign cultural and educational experience, fostering the improvement of their communication, social skills, and acquisition of new competences. Additionally, the project aimed to promote the internationalization of the school by encouraging closer cooperation and fostering the development of new projects with international partners. Another crucial goal was the dissemination of knowledge on environmentally friendly practices. By sharing experiences in the use of greener ways to dispose of waste and promoting the utilization of eco-friendly materials, the project contributed to sustainability initiatives. Overall, it aspired to create a more inclusive, globally connected, and environmentally conscious learning environment.
Our project, undertaken by the Secondary School of Applied Art, focuses on vocational training in arts and crafts for students aged 15-21. Offering programs in Ceramic Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, and more, we prepare students for careers in various creative fields. This vocational secondary school, following a Ministry of Education-defined curriculum, admits students both after elementary school and from other secondary schools seeking specialization. Our recent Erasmus+ KA1 project involved six students and two teachers from the departments of Shoe Design, Fashion Design, and Ceramics. The goal was to enhance their skills in eco-friendly techniques, digital arts, and materials application, particularly benefiting students from secluded areas. The unique aspect is the specialized department in Design of Shoes and Accessories, the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic.
