Objectives

Internationalization is one of the five fundamental pillars of the strategic development of Tomas Bata University. Our involvement in the Erasmus+ KA131 project is crucial for achieving several specific goals in this area. These include supporting student mobility for study stays or work placements abroad, simplifying the recognition process of results from mobility, promoting short-term mobility for incoming international students, and supporting the foreign mobility of UTB academic staff and employees for teaching or training stays. Participation in the project during a relatively new program phase and introducing a unified system for managing inter-institutional agreements (via EWP) prompted us to reevaluate existing contracts. This allowed us to further develop and consolidate long-term collaborations and explore opportunities for establishing new partnerships. The primary objective of the project was to support the mobility of students and employees, providing them with the opportunity to gain unique experiences abroad. However, the new phase of the program also fosters the process of digitalization of mobility management at our university which makes the procedure faster and easier for all involved parts. We are also happy that the project also opens door for students with less opportunities to gain international experience during their studies. Thanks to the extra financial support provided they are able to overcome either economical or other difficulties and travel and spend some time abroad. Additionally, the project has contributed to increasing the cultural diversity on our campus, fostering a more inclusive and dynamic academic environment.
