Nowadays, our society is not aware of the scale of contamination and environment pollution in urban areas as well as in villages and natural territories. People use way too much plastic bags and throw litter away in forbidden places. As a consequence of this behavior environment is becoming more and more precarious for people and for animals. The air, rivers, lakes and forests soon can become a threat for all living creatures. Multilateral Youth Exchange project aim was to raise a young European generation to become more aware of environmental issues and give it knowledge to become more environmentally conscious. Nowadays, many European and Non – European countries are facing a huge problem which is called The Global Warming. What we all can do is to come up with ideas to solve this increasing problem. Through this project we wanted to share experience between European and Non - European countries by connecting recycling, problems and possible solutions. The main motive of this Youth exchange was to teach young people, how to create art with purpose, reusing discard, and unwanted items. Through the experience of communication, group working and competitive activities youngsters gained new skills, become more social, active and they learn how to turn rubbish into the art. The objectives were: -To promote better understanding of different cultures through discussions, presentations and common work creating practical objects from recycled materials; -To explore influence of culture and traditions on everyday actions, especially on waste management; -To promote community re-use and recycling initiatives, principally through the promotion in schools and workplaces - To engage participants in learning about the environmental benefits of recycling -To foster exchanges of knowledge, best practices and ideas among youth for upcycling activities they can do in community; -To stimulate the development of intercultural dialogue among different cultures and fields of art through cultural and educational discussions and meetings; -To experience culture diversity as an additional value; -To increase participants awareness of European values and knowledge about key values of EU’s non-formal educational youth activities;
