Throughout the process of writing this project, we focused primarily on the issues we noticed during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. Our main idea was to mitigate the impact of this pandemic, which has had a major impact on the young generation across Europe in the last two years. In this area, we identified a number of themes that young people have been struggling with since the pandemic began and looked for ways to learn how to manage them better. We have drawn on our own experiences. Shrinking social bubbles, the problem of making wider connections Closing in on ourselves HOGO (Hassle of Going Out) trend - fear of socialising, staying in one's comfort zone, "why would I go out when it's actually fine or at least normal here" Diversification of society, loss of ability to dialogue with each other and inability to listen to each other Loss of civic engagement, solidarity and interest in volunteering. Resignation, apathy towards the environment Problems with concentration and with separating free and work (or study) time Generally worse mental health of the individual In relation to these issues, we have set the following objectives: Participants will explore and clearly define in which areas of their lives they have been most impacted by the Covid 19 pandemic. They will name these areas, become aware of them and then have the chance to try out different techniques leading to the development and transformation of these impacts into something useful for the future. We will learn to work with our own limits and try to make the most of the pandemic. We will name the changes we have gone through, appreciate the positive ones, and try to grasp the negative ones so that they have the least possible impact on us. To have a dialogue, to show the participants the tools to have an effective, open and non-threatening communication. Listen. Activate (ourselves). To experience what it is like to be (for some again and for some for the first time) in the role of a volunteer. To remember or imagine the benefits of volunteering. To create, plan and implement an action project together. To know ourselves better, to analyse ourselves, to offer different possible types of psycho-hygiene. The aim of the Step In - Step Out project was therefore to reactivate young people after they had been more withdrawn into themselves due to the pandemic, and had had no opportunity to meet and organise or participate in larger social events. We wanted to help them realise how the pandemic and its associated restrictions had affected their lives, and to help them take a step towards activities that were common before the pandemic. We placed a strong emphasis on restoring young people's participation in social life, but also on crisis management and psycho-hygiene.
