Discrimination is one of the biggest problems European society is facing nowadays. Hate discourse has reached a certain relevance in the public space, worsening the situation for minorities and historically discriminated collectives. In order to tackle this issue we need an involved youth capable of taking action and contributing with innovative ideas on the local, national and European level. The objective of our Youth Exchange "Innovate against discrimination" was to gather 30 young people from 6 different countries in the city of Prague and to tackle how discrimination operates in our societies and how we can take actions to fight against it, by the use of non-formal education activities. Our goal was to raise awareness among participants as well as for them to gain knowledge and experience from local NGOs, collectives and individuals who are taking actions to help discriminated collectives in the fields of homelessness, Roma discrimination, women's rights, migrant´s situation or the LGBT community. We wanted to foster intercultural exchange about those topics and the experience of the participants in their own countries at the same time as cooperating with local networks and give participants inspiration to materialise their own original ideas, projects or small businesses in order to make a real impact to reach a more equal and fair society. Another objective of the project was to disseminate the Erasmus+ program and our project’s topic both locally and in the participants' countries, by creating materials that could be shared on social and local networks, such as a live radio program or awareness campaign videos.
