Our goal was to provide youth workers with competencies to deliver primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention of sexual harassment in their activities, and by that, we wanted to decrease the number of young people becoming victims or staying permanently in trauma, and therefore falling or staying in marginalized groups and under discrimination, decrease amount of perpetrators, as we sensitized young people towards the negative impact their behaviors can have on others, taught them respect and positive alternatives to their intentions, increased active participation as well as civil engagement of young people, as we provided them the information on the topic which is the main reason why bystanders don't intervene, and we trained them to be active bystanders. We opened a discussion on the topic that has been a burning question, yet ignored since the full existence of youth work and we increased the well-being and sustainability of youth work. The objectives of our project were - To equip youth workers with competencies and methods for their professional development, in addressing the needs of young people, particularly by being able to create primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention, - To share innovative theories, educational approaches, and tools that youth workers can use to improve their work with young people, - To promote gender equality, inclusion, diversity, well-being, and a sense of initiative among young people, - To increase youth worker’s motivation and inspiration to work further with youth, - To establish a network around the EU of youth workers practicing and promoting sexual violence prevention, - To create a cascading effect by developing sustainable follow-up actions targeting youth workers with fewer opportunities.
