The Erasmus+ KA171 project is an integral part of MENDELU’s internationalisation strategy and a significant tool for development cooperation. Its goal was to promote education, cooperation, and knowledge exchange between MENDELU and partner institutions in non-EU countries. Emphasis was focused on strengthening the competencies of students and academics from these countries, enabling their integration into an international environment and access to modern teaching methods, equipment and expertise. Participants gained experience with the European academic setting, acquired new skills, and can apply them to the development of their home institutions and regions, contributing to the transfer of innovation and best practices. Besides professional growth, the project offered personal experience with the European environment and values. It also supported the formation of international teams focused on teaching, practical work, and addressing global and local challenges such as improving educational quality and promoting regional development. For MENDELU students and staff, the project offered the chance to work in a multicultural environment, share experiences, and gain new perspectives on teaching and education.
