The primary objective of the project was to deepen and institutionalize academic cooperation between the Institute of International Studies at Charles University (IMS FSV UK) and three partner universities in the Western Balkans. It aimed to strengthen institutional ties and build sustainable partnerships and enhance the academic and professional development of students and staff by enabling them to gain international experience, improve language skills, and engage with different academic cultures.We also aimed to: support the internationalization strategies of all participating institutions by increasing the number mobilities and fostering cross-border academic collaboration; contribute to regional development and EU integration efforts, particularly in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Albania, by sharing best practices in higher education promote mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue between the Czech Republic and the Western Balkans, especially in the context of post-conflict reconciliation and European cooperation. Besides that, the project provided a platform for long-term academic exchange and research collaboration, particularly in the fields of territorial studies, modern history, and EU integration.
