Background

Effects of using too much digital media have been found to be potentially dangerous in affecting the health and mental related behaviour of youth. Apart from this, over utilization of social media, decreases the amount of time available for pursuing other activities which are useful for their physical health and mental health and spending of time with family members. This problem entered all project partners´ schools which had experienced a dramatic change. During breaks, our schools used to be full of loud conversations, laughter of students who were lively and full of action. Nowadays majority of them just sit with their mobile phone in the classroom, isolated. Students do not socialize like they used to. Talking became very rare. We found this change very dangerous and thought that students should be more sociable because their speaking abilities decreased dramatically. Their language became limited by social media to only single messages. For that reason, we created this project to help us to involve our students in some activities in which they needed to communicate among themselves, to use face to face communication and spread this to their classmates and other students of participating schools.
