Promoting mobility of students, researchers and university staff is firmly anchored in the university strategy. The TU Ilmenau uses several instruments to increase the international mobility of students and staff. Due to attractive processes and funding conditions, the Erasmus programme contributes significantly to increasing these outgoing numbers. Furthermore, Erasmus promotes the internationalisation of the university and its staff. Increasingly, further English-language teaching and service offers are being created to increase the attractiveness of TU Ilmenau as a science location. Finally, Erasmus supports networking and exchange with partner institutions in other European countries. These contacts result in joint research projects, doctorates and agreements to establish further double degree programmes. We are also pleased that the Erasmus programme will continue to make a significant contribution to internationalisation in future years. Thanks to the approval of the European University application, we are looking forward to further expanding our collaborations and are sure that we will inspire more students to take advantage of these great opportunities. Overall, we are very satisfied with the fulfilment of these goals.
