Objectives

The mobility of students and lecturers within Europe continues to be a focal point in our internationalisation strategy. We aim for supporting all members of our university, students as well as teaching staff. They should gain experience abroad with a minimal administrative effort required. The Erasmus+ programme is particularly suitable for this purpose. Maintaining partnerships through mobilities also opens up the opportunity for new collaborations beyond the typical student mobilities. As a research-intensive University of Applied Sciences, we are also increasingly focussing on research collaborations. Erasmus partnerships can play a key role here. The project also helped introducing short-term mobilities in the field of physiotherapy. Internationalisation in this field, and in the field of health and care in general, is difficult in itself due to the high teaching load and the high work load of the students. Erasmus+ was able to resolve this problem and lower the bar for students to spend time abroad.
