Objectives

With more than 160 partnerships worldwide, 80 of which are with Erasmus partner universities, bachelor’s and master’s programmes conducted in English, and approx. 1400 international students from almost 100 countries, the Ohm is among the internationally oriented higher education institutions in Southern Germany. One of our strategic aims is to raise the international profile of our university and to facilitate international experiences for all university members. The Erasmus EU funding programme plays a central role in meeting this goal. It enables all students to pursue practical and/or study semesters abroad that will be transferable towards their degree in all cycles. In return, we support all measures that lead to students from partner universities or international organisations being fully satisfied with their stay and learning experience. The curricula and teaching also benefit over the long-term from Erasmus measures. Faculty, who have gone abroad, return with new international and specialized experiences which are integrated into the curricula and classroom at the university. In all activities, the goals set out for the European Education Area and the renewed EU agenda for higher education are considered and implemented.
