Objectives

The a.i.m.rlp, based at Trier University of Applied Sciences, applied for and carried out the project for 11 universities of applied sciences and one university from the German federal estate of Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland, aiming at contributing to the implementation of the idea of a United Europe and supporting it logistically and financially through exchanges between the education and business sectors of the Erasmus Programme and partner countries. This is done by promoting qualified and subject-related company internships lasting several months, study visits, staff and lecturer mobility. In addition to the intercultural, linguistic and socio-cultural added value for all participant groups, the project should enable students and graduates to put the theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies into practice, get to know a new working culture and offer an additional, transnational training opportunity in an international context in order to improve their employability at home and abroad in the long term. Staff and lecturer mobility was applied for in order to support the consortium partners in advancing internationalization processes at the level of university staff and to contribute to professional, interdisciplinary, international exchange in teaching.
