The participation in the ERASMUS+ Key Action1 is a fundamental pillar of the internationalisation strategy of the University of Regensburg. The ERASMUS+ programme provides stimulus and incentive, as well as the tools for pursuing internationalisation at a high standard. It helps UR reach its goals in the field of internationalisation and increase its reputation as an international university. UR is well aware that European and international mobility of all ERASMUS+ target groups combined with international cooperation activities in the field of teaching will better equip students to adapt to a future in an information- and knowledge-based society, and will help them to better address the challenges of a rapidly changing, globalised world. ERASMUS+ not only creates new perspectives which broaden the horizon for all participants but strengthens internationalisation at home. What is more, by implementing this project, the UR contributes to reaching overarching aims the European Higher Education agenda has set: Diversity and inclusion, involvement in society, digital literacy, sustainability and the fostering of European values.
