Student and faculty mobility are the focus of the internationalization strategy as well as the international cooperation of Pforzheim University with its partner universities both in Europe and worldwide. The main target group of student mobility are students in the Bachelor programs who are abroad for the duration of at least one semester (study abroad), two semesters (study abroad and/or internship abroad) or two to three semesters (double degree programs). In addition to the main objective of student mobility, internationalization at home should also be promoted so that students who do not spend a semester abroad can benefit from internationalization. The purpose of Internationalization at home is in particular to provide international education and an international environment to the majority of students who do not study abroad for a period of time themselves, to promote their international and intercultural competence. With the implementation of the Erasmus staff mobility with enterprises, there is the possibility for students to interact with internationally recognized experts from European countries.
