Objectives

JGU's main aim with the Erasmus+ programme is to promote internationalization. Internationalization is seen as a cross-sectional task that includes all university areas, i.e. research, knowledge transfer, studies, teaching, continuing education, and university administration. Core statements on internationalization are contained in JGU's mission statement as well as in the goals of the internationalization strategy. JGU's institutional strategy also emphasizes its goal of improving the quality of research and teaching and thus contributes to raising educational standards and meeting Europe's demand for academics and researchers. JGU's goal of educating its students to become enlightened, global citizens and to provide them with the necessary skills for international competition is also part of the university's future concept. Offering and promoting international mobility is high on the university agenda. The teaching of internationally relevant, job-related key competences and European values is essential, especially in order to meet the challenges of Europe. Equal treatment and inclusion are fundamental, which is why additional funding options for participants with fewer opportunities are published and communicated transparently.
