The Erasmus+ program is a pivotal element of Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences' (in the following Frankfurt UAS) internationalization strategy, focusing on enhancing mobility, employability, sustainability, and green travel. It enables the university to achieve several key objectives by offering structured international experiences that meet academic standards. For students, this includes opportunities for studying and training abroad, which enrich their academic and cultural perspectives. For staff, Erasmus+ provides training to improve intercultural competencies and language skills, particularly in English, which is crucial given the university's diverse international student body. Erasmus+ also allows faculty and teachers to connect with partners across Europe and beyond, facilitating internationalization within the classroom and enhancing curricula. This not only increases Frankfurt UAS's international presence and global visibility but also boosts its attractiveness to prospective students and partners. The current project marks a return to pre-pandemic conditions, operating without travel restrictions and disruptions for the first time since the Covid-19 outbreak. Aligned with European policy goals, Erasmus+ promotes international mobility, partnership building, practical learning, and inclusivity. It expands opportunities for short-term and international credit mobility, providing financial support to encourage participation from a diverse student population, including working students (German: duale Studierende). As a university of applied sciences, Frankfurt UAS emphasizes practical experiences for students, but long-term mobility can be challenging for those who work full-time. This project offers these students a chance to engage in internationalization and develop intercultural competencies through short-term mobility options. This supports Frankfurt UAS's commitment to accessible higher education, enhancing educational quality, fostering international collaboration, and enriching the experiences and skills of all participants.
