Internationality plays a vital role at WHU. The exchange semester is an integral part of the Bachelor and the Master studies (120 ECTS track, which most of our Master students are part of). The integral exchange semester is supposed to deepen and expand the knowledge gathered at WHU. Furthermore, the students receive the opportunity to get to know different cultures and learn about other countries economies. The focus of the project was on student mobility. Due to the integral exchange semester, WHU has a broad international network and the students are very interested in the exchange within Europe. A further goal of the project was to generate a smooth transition in to the new program generation and also to improve the student mobility through e.g. digitalization. In general the student number at WHU is increasing which is why we have more students going abroad. The aim of WHU's internationalization strategy is to increase the number of students we send abroad within Europe in the coming years. Additionally, it was our goal to start funding students as part of the Erasmus+ International Dimension. In the completed KA131 project we were able to fund 146 students, in which 23 of them were part of the Erasmus+ International Dimension.
