Objectives

Founded in 1818, the University of Hohenheim has a long tradition in the agricultural and natural sciences. With 40 degree programs, including 13 Bachelor's and 27 Master's programs, it offers a broad spectrum in the agricultural, natural, economic and social sciences. The campus offers an inspiring learning environment with a wide range of opportunities for personal and professional development. The University of Hohenheim focuses on bioeconomy and digital transformation, which is continued in the 2023-2027 strategy and development plan. It played a key role in the founding of the European Bioeconomy University (EBU) and is in active exchange with partners such as the Euroleague for Life Sciences (ELLS) and HERMES. The University of Hohenheim is committed to improving the conditions for student exchanges and increasing mobility figures. The implementation of the Erasmus+ project enables both by setting standards for exchange programmes, for example with regard to the recognition of credits earned abroad and digitalization. The financial support lowers financial barriers to mobility and enables as many students and employees as possible to participate. The University of Hohenheim supports hybrid and virtual exchange formats in terms of inclusion. This goal is supported by the implementation of Erasmus+ short-term mobilities. Erasmus+ promotes intercultural skills, tolerance and greater understanding for one another, which further strengthens the teaching strategy at the University of Hohenheim. It is therefore an established and important building block for implementing the university strategy.
