Ludwigsburg University of Education (LUE) aims to prepare students for a multicultural world by fostering intercultural competence, inclusivity, and global engagement. This is especially critical for future educators, who act as multipliers, shaping diverse and inclusive learning environments. The Erasmus+ ICM project focused on Israel (Region 3), aligning with LUE’s strategic emphasis on partnerships outside Europe, particularly in the MENA region, which plays a key role in its internationalisation strategy. Collaborations with the Beit Berl College and the Kibbutzim College of Education (KCE) aimed to promote academic exchange, broaden personal and professional horizons, and enhance intercultural dialogue. Despite challenges, including administrative restructuring at the Beit Berl College and the escalation of the conflict in October 2023, the project facilitated incoming mobilities, enriching participants’ academic and personal development. These efforts supported LUE’s Erasmus Policy Statement goals, including internationalisation, pluralising teaching approaches, and fostering international collaboration.
