The general goal of the project was to provide each faculty with either new partnerships or to extend existing ones according to the proposal: Preference was given to existing partnerships if they develop in an interdisciplinary and multidimensional manner (e.g., expansion to other faculties, joint activities, joint research, joint teaching content). We aimed at developing regions that have been less covered to date (e.g., sub-Saharan Africa, Israel, South America). We wanted to strengthen partnerships in which a holistic interest (student mobility, teacher mobility, joint research) was demonstrated on both sides. Finally, we wanted to develop partnerships that support the university's diversity goals and are suitable for further developing and promoting the concept of a cosmopolitan, diverse university at the regional, national, and international levels. A focus was placed on regions with high development potential. The proposed project aimed to strengthen selected partnerships where these development goals can be promoted and strategic potential can be tapped. A particular goal was also to link if possible two faculties of Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences per partner in order to achieve interdisciplinarity.
