The exchange between participating institutions was intended to establish and strengthen academic and cultural relations between Germany and Georgia. The transfer of courses was an important component of the cooperation. The establishment of joint international study programmes was intended to enable internationally expandable faculties such as computer science/mathematics to offer structured stays abroad with automatic recognition of examination results, thereby creating attractive opportunities within the faculty, including in the area of elective courses. The participating teachers from both institutions were to use their experience with intercultural teaching, curricula and didactics to reflect on the special features and transfer potential of the various educational concepts. The participating Georgian students were to achieve diverse learning outcomes in computer science and gain intercultural understanding in a German study environment.
