By implementing this project we wanted to strengthen our partnership between the Musikhochschule Lübeck (MHL) in Germany and the Tbilisi State Conservatoire (TSC) in Tiflis, Georgia. An essential point of the international strategy of the MHL is to strenghten the existing partnerships with universities in the Near East, East Asia and South Asia. The cooperation with the TSC fits perfectly in this concept. That is why the MHL and the TSC applied again for funding for the Neighbourhood East (Region 2) project in KA171 2022. The partnership exists for several years now and we wanted to implement both student and staff mobility mainly in the departments of choral conducting and singing. As part of the MHL's internationalisation strategy, every member of our institution should be given the opportunity to participate in all accessible international programms such as Erasmus+. This applies also to our incoming mobilities. The MHL wanted to make the Erasmus+ programm accesible also for our partners outside of the EU, this is why the MHL signed the IIA with the TSC in the first place.
