Objectives

In accordance with the mission statement and the principles of the internationalisation strategy of the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and the current Erasmus University Charter, every interested and suitable student and employee of the University of Würzburg and partner universities should be given the opportunity to spend a period abroad as part of the Erasmus programme. A study and/or work-related stay abroad is seen as an essential component of high-quality study/personal development and should not only serve academic/professional, but also (inter)cultural further education and training. It goes without saying that both directions, incoming as well as outgoing, are equally important. All suitable/nominated applicants were accepted and supported. Looking back at project 2022 and the global challenges that we were facing, we can say that we have reached our goals partially. External factors, especially war crises, have made it impossible to reach the planned targets. However, taking into account the aforesaid obstacles, it can be stated that, overall, the project can be regarded as a success both in terms of mobility numbers and outreach.
