The projects at Fulda University of Applied Sciences (FUAS) with the German-Jordanian University (GJU) and the Albanian Universities aimed to enhance internationalization significantly. The GJU collaboration, central to FUAS's 2021-2025 strategy, focused on expanding partnerships to address migration challenges in the South-Mediterranean. It seeked to improve applied education, skills, multilingualism, and multiculturalism through student, faculty, and administrative exchanges. The project with Albania aimed to establish a cooperation network in the Western Balkans, promoting knowledge and cultural exchange with the EU candidate country Albania. It enhanced the quality of teaching and learning through mobility and joint activities. On participants, the impact was evident in the development of academic skills. Students reported improved language abilities, greater intercultural awareness, and enhanced self confidence, especially because of their direct engagement with international peers and staff.
