Objectives

As a research-intensive university of excellence with around 28,000 students and over 600 professors, TU Dresden (TUD) is one of Germany's largest and most important universities and ranks among the top universities in national and international comparisons. The TU Dresden's goal is to create a broad network of strategic partnerships with universities and science regions through diverse cooperative relationships at the international level in order to further enhance its international reputation, attract brilliant young international scientists, and train academics and future leaders of society internationally. Internationalization as a long-term goal of TUD is therefore an integral part of all strategically oriented documents, in particular the vision and strategic goals of the current rectorate, the excellence strategy, and the mission statement. With the Erasmus+ mobility project with partner universities in partner countries (KA 171), international cooperation has been strengthened and further expanded in line with this objective. Building on existing research collaborations between departments, mobility measures were initiated and implemented as part of the project.
