The Erasmus Worldwide KA 171 project is a very important pillar of internationalization at Fachhochschule Dortmund -University of Applied Sciences and Arts. With 14,000 students and almost 200 professors, Fachhochschule Dortmund -University of Applied Sciences and Arts is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in the Ruhr area, and internationalization is one of the four focus areas of the university's 2020-2025 development plan. Student mobility exchanges and staff mobility are important pillars of this plan. By financing primarily incoming mobility from regions that are dependent on funding, the university's image is enriched and, in particular, internationalization@home is supported, because students in Dortmund can work together in international groups and get to know cultures and learning methods that would otherwise remain hidden from them. The two partner regions in this project, Kosovo and Ukraine, serve different focus areas of the university. The partnership with the University of Prishtina has existed for many years in the field of architecture, while Ukrainian universities serve technical areas, particularly in three English-language master's programs in the field of computer science.
