The collaboration between the Textile Engineering Department at ENIM (Tunisia) and the Faculty of Textile and Clothing Technology (FB07) at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences (HSNR) (Germany), which has been in place since 2015, has been very successful. We have been able to offer students (bachelor's and master's) prospects in international cooperation. Practical experience was also made available during the semester abroad, the final thesis and the PhD theses. The exchange between administrative staff is an essential part of the project in order to learn about and optimise working methods, application processes and selection. This also includes the exchange of experiences on new modern technologies, innovations and developments between lecturers at the partner universities. Intercultural communication with those involved is an important part of the complex cooperation that we have been able to achieve with this project. The transfer of knowledge in new areas, including sustainability, from practice and technology to soft skills, also contributes significantly to the success of the project.
