By implementing the project, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar pursued the goal of sustainably putting its internationalization strategy into practice and of deepening existing cooperations with partner universities in non-European countries. The project was intended to enable both student and staff mobilities, thereby fostering scientific and cultural exchange. A particular focus was placed on strengthening strategic partnerships, for example through the development of joint study programs as well as through staff mobilities, which make a decisive contribution to quality assurance and the further development of cooperations. In addition, incoming scholarships were to be used in a targeted manner to give students from countries with high tuition fees or limited financial means access to a study period in Weimar, and conversely, to enable outgoing students to spend time in countries with high tuition fees (especially in Region 12). In doing so, the project contributed to equal opportunities, internationalization, and the visibility of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar within the global higher education area.
