Objectives

HWR Berlin has participated in the Erasmus programme since 1995. With over 12,000 students, it is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Berlin - with a strong practical focus, intensive and diverse research and high quality standards. It is the third largest "business school" in Germany. Internationalisation is an element of its mission statement, which is understood as a consistent guiding principle in teaching and research and shapes the entire range of services. The university therefore focuses on intensifying the cooperation in teaching, research and joint programmes, with selected universities from its large partner network. For this reason, the HWR Berlin pursues the establishment of strengthened partnerships with universities abroad that have a particularly good "fit" with the HWR Berlin. These strengthened partnerships are supposed to feature a close and multidimensional cooperation. HWR Berlin uses the Erasmus+ programme International Credit Mobility to support and deepen these selected partnerships and their members in both sides. The Erasmus programme in general but specifically the ICM programme functiones as a driver for internationalization in general and specifically for internationalisation at home.
