Objectives

The Erasmus KA171 portfolio with partner institutions in Indonesia, Namibia (NUST) and South Africa (DUT) aimed to provide students and staff with transformative international learning experiences and to strengthen long-standing institutional partnerships. The overarching objective was to combine academic excellence, intercultural dialogue and curriculum innovation in short, intensive formats embedded into existing study programmes for full credit recognition. Thematically, each project addressed different global challenges: biotechnology (Indonesia) with strong links to research and industry, micro-entrepreneurship (Namibia) with a decolonisation of the curriculum approach and empowerment of local expertise, and film studies (South Africa) with co-teaching from three continents under the theme “Three Continents – Three Perspectives”. Collectively, the projects supported the Erasmus+ priorities of inclusion, diversity, employability, and global citizenship.
