Bielefeld University (UB) considers internationalisation to be a key element in enhancing the quality and performance of research, study and teaching. The mobility of students, lecturers and staff is essential to this. The internationalisation process leads to an intensification and qualitative enhancement of international relations and encompasses the entire institution and its culture. The Erasmus+ project is a cornerstone of international mobility. With the help of the KA171 2022 project, partnerships with eight universities in six countries were continued and consolidated – despite global crises. The objectives of the Erasmus+ cooperation project KA171 2022 were to 1. enable the mobility of outstanding students and thereby promote their integration into academia or the labour market, 2. actively support the further qualification of (young) academics through staff mobility, and 3. initiate future research and teaching collaborations. The above objectives are achieved through the exchange of scientific experience, cooperation in research, joint courses and publications.
