The aim of the project was to actively promote the internationalisation of all participating universities – Hochschule Darmstadt (h_da), and in particular the partner universities in Ghana and Georgia – and to advance it in line with European standards. The focus was on student and staff mobilities as well as the development of sustainable partnerships in the fields of social sciences, media, computer science, business, and design. Through these mobilities, the project sought to strengthen intercultural competences, disseminate European quality standards, and intensify academic exchange. Special attention was given to the inclusion of students with fewer opportunities in order to promote educational equity. Furthermore, the project aimed to strengthen joint research initiatives – for example on topics such as transnational migration or children’s rights – and thereby establish long-term institutional structures for cooperation. In doing so, the project also contributed to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
