The project, led by the Leonardo Office Saxony (LEOSACHSEN) in collaboration with 12 local universities, aimed to strengthen the internationalisation strategies of Saxon Higher Education institutions by establishing and deepening long-term partnerships focused on research, curricula design, and academic innovation with universities in key regions such as Ukraine, Israel, and Sub-Saharan Africa. By promoting mobility for students, graduates, doctorates, and staff, the project sought to enhance employability, foster global skills, and encourage intercultural awareness. A central focus was to ensure equal and family-friendly access to the Erasmus+ programme, with targeted support for participants with fewer opportunities or special needs. The project contributed to the development of innovative teaching and research collaborations, supported institutional capacity building, and aligned with both European and institutional policy agendas on diversity, social responsibility, green mobility, and social responsibility. Furthermore, it aimed to contribute to the development of Saxony and the partner regions, to develop environmental and social awareness among participants and partner institutions.
