The aim was to broaden the collaborations of HNEE with its partners and build a network of institutions that share education and scientific topics, offer student and staff exchanges to and from HNEE and therefore aid in further developing HNEE internationalisation strategy. The main project objectives were: (1) to increase the students' academic knowledge, methodological, social and intercultural skills, (2) to strengthen the academic and technical knowledge of academic staff in the field of biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, ecosystem-based sustainable development and sustainable economics, (3) to broaden the skills and capacities of staff in innovative teaching methods and (4) to intensify the cooperation between the universities on different levels and to establish exchange opportunities that can be recognised. The individual mobilities are at the one hand a great measure to make students and staff acquainted with international academic life and broaden their perspective and to internationalise their own institution/university. On the other hand, they turned out to be an important instrument for the internationalisation of HNEE and to anchor internationalisation within the structures of the University.
