We had 4 objectives: - Extend the reach and improve our training provision to adult educators, community organisers and civil society organisations working in sectors focused on social cohesion and inclusion. - Develop capacity to deliver narrative and communication education to community and civil society organisations, in order to support an equitable climate transition. - Empower our staff to feel more confident at designing and delivering training that attracts and builds the skills of learners from marginalised communities. - Increase organisational and individual resilience with strategic development tools which build staff commitment, confidence and employability. Achieving these has meant we can scale up to better meet demand for our work and work with more people, including those who are disadvantaged. In learning alongside other international educators we have been able to support enhanced civic engagement and sharing of best practice across the EU.
Movement Hub (MHub) provides adult education aimed at nurturing a sustainable society. We initialised in response to increasing demand for climate advocacy, education and engagement training. We assist by: - Offering environmental education that transfers knowledge and skills from the climate sector to a broader public. - Supporting civic climate groups with training on effectiveness, sustainability, collaboration, and diversity & inclusion. - Strengthening connections between different groups through cross-sectoral and intergroup training. - Providing education opportunities for people not yet connected to climate work to become active in ways that incorporate their specific strengths. This project offered staff training to address the challenges we face in achieving our aims. These are 1) Capacity to build effective cross sectoral education 2) Impactful communications training for civic groups 3) Working with diversity 4) Capacity to support resilience.
