Objectives

For pupils: This Erasmus+ project was designed to enable our young people to place a new value on the importance of education in Germany through the knowledge they gained and the new experiences they had in France. Further goals were: Consolidation of the European idea, language expansion, increase in tolerance, improvement in team skills, increase in self-confidence and ultimately a higher willingness to perform, with positive effects for the profession (career) and school. The participating pupils should realise that farmers in Europe have the same or similar problems as German farmers because of the Common Agricultural Policy. A "cosmopolitanism" should develop among the pupils and long-term binational contacts (France-Germany) should begin. That this has been achieved is shown by the higher number of participants from the Oberallgäu area in worldwide internships (organised e.g. by the Bavarian Farmers' Association, BBV). For teachers: That European issues, new technical knowledge and teaching concepts are increasingly implemented in vocational school 3. For the vocational school Kempten III: Future accreditation of the entire vocational school III Kempten.

Background

The state vocational school III Kempten has set itself the long-term goal of sending trainees or students from all subject areas to other European countries for internships. The successful stay abroad of our agricultural students and trainees in France is known to all colleagues of the vocational school III Kempten. The clear conclusion is that this should be extended to all subject areas. In the school development process of the vocational school III Kempten, a Europe project group was founded with the following goals: a) accreditation of the vocational school Kempten III b) Maintaining contacts with already known foreign schools: The Horticulture Department would like to send florists to Olot to the Institut la Garrotxa. The vocational school for social care uses the contacts of the vocational school III with the Institut la Garrotxa to obtain contact addresses of schools of similar training in Spain. A visit on site by our teachers was unfortunately not possible for organisational reasons, but will take place in the school year 2023/24. In Craon, there is another school of the MFR organisation with a training programme for educators and geriatric nurses; a contact will be established in the near future.
