Objectives

By implementing the project, we want to expand the intercultural, foreign language and project management skills of our teachers in order to promote the internationalisation of our school. The above-mentioned objective helps us to win over more teachers for the European idea and the facilitation of student mobility. By first experiencing the opportunity to visit other European schools or institutions themselves and thus cultivating international contacts that they themselves have made during job shadowing or at the project management seminar, teachers experience self-efficacy. This in turn motivates them to make these experiences possible for students by getting involved in the international team or promoting mobilities among their colleagues and students by sharing their experiences. Establishing and maintaining contacts naturally requires intercultural and necessary foreign language skills, which they improve through appropriate seminars and job shadowing.

Background

Internationalisation is an important part of our school profile in order to promote our students' ability to act and shape skills of our learners in an increasingly globalised world of work. As important sub-competences of creative competence, learners should be able to build up knowledge and show empathy for others in an open-minded way that integrates new perspectives. In order to promote these sub-competences, cooperation with schools from (non) European countries is essential. However, this requires improved project management skills at school. Further training and job shadowing should be used as a strategic instrument for further development in project management and for internationalisation to expand intercultural skills and thus promote the creative competence of our school. By participating in seminars and job shadowing, the school would like to promote the above-mentioned sub-competences of creative competence and project management skills of the staff on the one hand and strengthen the motivation of the staff for the growing internationalisation of our school in the future on the other.
