A and B: Digital transformation in schools and the world of work - learning from and in Europe. A: The needs of the L are to develop competences for digital teaching. The use of end devices and software always poses new challenges and allows us to create new learning situations. In addition, teachers need to be permanently fit for hybrid or purely digital teaching. The needs of the students are very similar.Since these tools are mostly available in English, it seems to make sense to train the teachers first in order to gain confidence. B: Not only the English language competence but also, similar to A, the teaching should be upgraded with the help of digital media or used effectively in distance learning. C: Building and expanding intercultural competence within EuropeSuccessful participation of our students in the European labour market and cooperation in European work teams requires an understanding of the cultures of the European member states. The in-service training measures are designed to enable teaching staff to develop appropriate strategies that promote this competence building.
BBS Burgdorf is one of the largest vocational schools in Lower Saxony and continued to see a great need for internationalisation in the year of the 2022 application. By 2021, projects with Italy had been successfully implemented with a focus on e-mobility. After the Covid pandemic, the International team was established within the school management to secure the existing structure of acquired competences and, at best, to transfer them to the other coordination areas and to promote the development of new Erasmus + projects. This project has three focal points. Our school is Lower Saxony's competence centre for vocational training and training location for the subject area of hydrogen. The topics of ecological sustainability and digitalisation are in the foreground. In order to maintain existing contacts and further expand our network, the area of "Intercultural Competence" is included in order to better prepare teachers (L) as well as pupils (SuS) for exchanges and additionally for the future world of work. Mobilities were carried out on the following topics. A: Digital classroom B: Effective acquisition of English language with the help of digital media C: Intercultural competences
