It is the project’s aim to allow students to gain practical experience in a foreign company and to develop professional as well as intercultural and language skills. This newly acquired knowledge increases students’ employability in international companies, improves mobility and enables them to think and act in an entrepreneurial and European manner. Participants are supposed to actively shape and organise their working, living and learning environment and strengthen their European identity. The documents EUROPASS Mobility and EUROPASS CV support and improve efficiency, quality and recognition of the work placement abroad as part of a vocational training.
The present application from the Ems Vocational College for Economics and Administration of the Gütersloh district in Rheda-Wiedenbrück (EBK) is entitled "Discover Europe, create perspectives, promote skills (II)" as a successor to the project "ready, steady, go for europe". The project aims to acquire international skills in full-time school and initial vocational training. The Ems vocational college is therefore relying on an existing and proven concept that has enabled numerous students to be sent abroad in previous years. As usual, in this context, the Ems vocational college favors the tried and tested system of independently acquiring internship positions combined with a close link between the learning task to be met and operational but also training-relevant requirements through the curriculum or the respective training regulations.
