The objectives of this project were : - To develop the skills of local actors in social services, migrant reception and all citizens who wish to welcome and accompany people who have fled their country. - To equip them with concrete intercultural and linguistic methods to facilitate and improve the integration of these people on the move and thus promote their capacity to act.
Europe must be able to accept people fleeing their countries with dignity. To achieve this, we must continue to vociferously defend our international commitments and our humanist and solidarity values. To try to end this human misery, we must take advantage of the role that the European Union plays in the world. Within our Union, every European citizen has a role to play in providing the most vulnerable populations with access to a better, dignified life, health, security, knowledge and education. This requires a series of fundamental actions and a clear and coherent common policy that this project alone cannot provide, but everyone in their country, in their region, in their city has a role to play. This project has sensitized the participants to the fact that we can all do small everyday things to welcome those fleeing misery and persecution in the best possible way.
