We wanted to achieve these points with the Green-PRO project: 1. Learn and Apply Green Practices: To help entrepreneurs learn and use eco-friendly practices. The 25-hour digital training taught practical and theoretical skills for getting involved in the green economy. 2. Training Modules: Created a useful training program with 6 modules to improve participants' green and job-related skills. It covered different green practices that businesses could use. 3. Environmental Awareness: Raised awareness about environmental impacts among entrepreneurs. Guided them in making eco-friendly choices in their businesses. 4. Following European Green Deal: Contributed to making EU start-ups more eco-friendly, aligning with the goals of the European Green Deal. 5. Specialized Platform: Made a platform that connects entrepreneurs to each other and lets them share good practices/knowledge. 6. Helping Europe Go Green: The project played a part in making Europe more sustainable by teaching green skills and supporting a move to a climate-friendly economy.
The Green-PRO project was initiated to address the pressing challenges posed by climate change and environmental pollution, recognizing them as existential threats to Europe and the global community. The project aligns with the European Green Deal and the European Climate Pact, which emphasize the need for swift adaptation to environmentally friendly practices, particularly within businesses. The identified needs include the urgency to contribute to building a greener Europe, fostering environmentally conscious entrepreneurs, and supporting the transformation of businesses into more sustainable entities. The specific objectives of the project include increasing the number of environment-conscious entrepreneurs, equipping entrepreneurs with green skills through training, and contributing to green entrepreneurship and vocational skills through online training and mobility sessions. The project also aimed to address gaps lack of specialized support for green start-ups and internet platforms.
