Educators will learn new approaches to consider the individual needs of learners with few digital skills. The trainers’ skills are updated with inclusive, accessible and participatory methods. Gender- and diversity-sensitive learning materials will be available as online Open Educational Resources (OER). The project will provide Open Badges to certify the course. Local pilot trainings with ICT-trainers trained by us and their participants will test and optimize the final training.
The Erasmus+ project “Equality in Digitalisation – A Train the Trainer Qualification“ (EQUALDIGITAL | EQ) is a collaborative project which aims to contribute to solve the problem that we are lacking ICT trainers who can provide easily accessible low-threshold trainings, particularly for vulnerable target groups. The Equal Digital project will enhance inclusion and diversity in a digital technically driven and male dominated world by improving the competences of educators and breaking old stereotypes. Equal and inclusive education makes it possible for everyone to learn digital skills no matter their background or gender. Tackling exclusion from digital education is also a gender issue: there is a digital divide between genders in every European country.
