Objectives

It is important to recognize and respect the diversity within the student body, whether related to language, culture, religion, or ethnicity. In the classroom, methods of language learning should be exchanged and compared to help students discover their own strengths. The goal is to enable success in both academic and extracurricular contexts, regardless of potential obstacles. Through multicultural and international activities, whether involving IT or not, we aim to motivate students and raise their awareness of the world's diversity. As the project is designed as a job-shadowing initiative, we anticipated not only intercultural encounters and cooperation but also an increase in the professionalism of the participants. We ensured that both non-teaching staff (such as school social workers) and teachers with varying qualifications from different types of schools were involved. The exchange of methods, teaching styles, and the initiation of joint projects should always be a focal point alongside observing and teaching abroad. Therefore, we conducted activities that went beyond the scope of job-shadowing.

Background

Bridging intercultural, intergenerational, and social gaps is a fundamental part of our efforts to promote inclusion and support equality and non-discrimination. In this context, the development of digital skills and competencies plays a central role. By valuing the diversity of our society and removing barriers, we can create an inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. This requires a holistic approach aimed at creating opportunities for all and ensuring that no one is disadvantaged due to differences. In an increasingly interconnected world, it is essential that people of all backgrounds and ages have access to the digital resources and skills needed to succeed and actively participate in societal life. Given that our partner schools have similar social structures and face comparable challenges, we anticipate that the collaboration will benefit us by expanding our repertoire of methods.
