Through our partnerschool in Xativa we wanted to implement a long term partnership to exchange creative methods to learn languages. The partnerschool has a solid base of digital experience in terms of foreign languages and we have a pool of creative methods (theatre, painting) to improve foreign languages.
We are a secondary school in Berlin, Neukölln Germany.The neighboorhood is caracterized by mulcicultural back-ground (mostly turkish, arabic, romanian and bulgarian people) and low class income. The school has 400 pupils , 40 teachers and 10 social worker. Besides of the main subjetcs we have special educational programs for sports, language (spanish, english and french) and antiracism-program. Therefore we cooperate with several NGOs as olympic sport association or anti-racism NGO "Respect-Coach". The project based on strengthen the apartment of languages in our school. Spanish is a new implemented language so therefore we wanted to experiment several methods to learn another language by using theatre, poetry and their own multi-ethnic background and decrease prejudices towards other languages.
