We are a school that deals intensively with digitalization. The coronavirus pandemic has presented us with major challenges, but also opportunities to better prepare our students for the digital world. With our equipment and the title "digital school", we are well positioned. However, not all colleagues are using the new media effectively. The exchange with European partners should help us here. Hybrid learning is a new concept for us that we would like to optimize. As an inclusive school, it is important to us to support each pupil individually. The integration of modern technologies plays a major role in this. We are open to new impulses and ideas in order to continue pursuing our goal of comprehensive education. With a view to applying for accreditation as an Erasmus+ school, we also wanted to promote the program and the associated exchange with Europe among the students and staff.
The "Gemeinschaftsschule Althengstett" offers a holistic education with a focus on individualized learning and digital integration. With modern equipment such as iPads and LED screens as well as a structured media curriculum, pupils are taught comprehensive digital skills. The STEM program includes robotics, coding and hands-on experiments with tools such as Turtle Coder and SmartSense devices. The school relies on innovative teaching methods, mixed learning groups and individual support from a diverse teaching staff. Recognized as a "digital school", it demonstrates a future-oriented educational concept that prepares pupils for the demands of a digital world.
